Collapser has a unique fishing system that draws players in and keeps them hooked to our experience.
Fishing in Collapser is a skill that takes a very long time to get to a meaningful level. It will take you five (5) days of consecutive fishing to reach Fishing Level 100, which is where Collapser's Fishing System begins.

Commendation System and Bundles

Fishing Commendations are a form of Collapser currency used to buy items from The Fishing Guild. This currency is not transferable to other players and is character specific.
In Water, commendations are earned via blue surprise bundles. Enraged Water Spirits turn into these when they die, and if you open the bodies of non-boss monsters (Hydros, Tyria and Doctor Octagonapus), they can be found in them as well.
In Lava, commendations are earned via red surprise bundles. Molten Magma Minions turn into these when they die.
Regardless of if you're fishing in water or lava, bundles will drop one of seven potential rewards. Because lava bundles are harder to come by, their percentages on better loot are higher. The rewards in the following table are listed from most common to least common.

Reward
Platinum Coins
Crystal Coins
1-2 Demonic Essence
Magma Legs
Magma Lens
1 Iridium Coin
Weak Fishing Scroll/Fishing Commendation

The Fishing Guild

A lot of Collapser's fishing systems run through the Fishing Guild.
The Fishing Guild is a place off the Islands of Collapser with special non-pvp fishing zones accessible only if you have a certain fishing level, and also home to Wilfred, the Leader of the Fishing Guild.
To get to the Fishing Guild, you simply need to walk south of Collapser Town's Depot and walk through the turtle in the water.
Below is a table of what you can use your Fishing Commendation currency to buy from Wilfred.

Item Cost Use
Ample Fishing Scroll 2 Fishing Commendations A 10-hour long buff to your fishing skill's speed of advancement (100%) and fishing rate (75%)
Fishing Bowl 2 Fishing Commendations A bowl that can encapsulate a boss fishing monster. Can only be used by you on monsters that you have caught. Check below for classifications to see which monsters can be bowled
Fishing Spear 15 Fishing Commendations A fishing tool that increases your catch rate by 75% and never breaks

Monster Tips Section

Enraged Water Spirit - Drops blue surprise bundles. The easiest source of Fishing Commendations.

Hydros - More health than Water Elementals, can drop crystal coins, fishing bundles, shiver arrows, golden bows, and flaming arrows among others.

Krabby - Around 3x more health than a hydros, has a useful aoe that can be used to kill other fishing monsters such as hydros or water elementals. Most players trap these in grass and don't kill them. They can drop fishing bundles and flawless ice crystals.

Tyria - Fairly tanky, around the same health as a krabby. This fishing monster is also normally trapped and used to kill weaker fishing monsters.

Doctor Octagonapus - This is one of the first "bosses" you will be able to catch. However, this one is considered more as a demi-boss as although it can kill an afk fisher under level 4500, it gives very little experience and its only notable drop is 2 fishing bundles. 2 level cap.

Triton - This is one of the first bosses most players catch. Although later on in the game most players simply ignore this monster, if you're under level 4-5k this monster is definitely worth killing. Drops still aren't great, but better than the Doctor Octagonapus. When a player catches one of these they are awarded with one fishing commendation. Notable loot is a Purple Flower (addon item). 20 level cap.

Aegaeus - Now is when we start getting into the good bosses. Aegaeus, which looks like a Djinn, requires atleast a 6000-6500 knight to block, and can give decent experience. Notable loot from Aegaeus includes Hell Steel (addon item) and Crystal of Balance (addon item) and Flawless Ice Crystal (addon item). 30 level cap.

Nessie - This boss looks like a hydra. It has the same aoe's as a hydra, although they are wider and reach farther. Not much are known about the Nessie. No loot information. 30 level cap.

Aekre - By far the most rewarding and efficient boss in terms of health/experience ratio. 30 level cap.

Jaws - The elusive Jaws. Sought after by many, but rewards around the same experience as Nessie with more health. 30 level cap. Has 1/30 chance to drop dice.

Sobek - Difficult to grind to 135 fishing for this boss, but well worth the wait in experience. Unknown loot table. 35 level cap.

Blastoise - The beast. Very high experience reward monster. Lots of health. Super high heals. Take it down with a decent size team and all reap the benefit of great experience. No known information on loot. 35 level cap.

Fishing Rate

At the bottom of your !fishing window, you'll see your current fishing difficulty. Fishing difficulty is factored in by three things:
1. Your actual fishing skill.
2. Your tool of choice (fishing rod or fishing spear).
3. Whether you're currently using a fishing scroll.
As each one of these factors changes, your fishing difficulty will decrease, thus increasing your chance to catch a monster. This is a good thing, and is very important. Lets explain.
Every monster in Collapser's fishing arsenal has it's own catch percentage or catch rate per cast. We won't bore you with the boring details, but we feel it's important to be open with you, our players.
The lower your fishing difficulty is, the higher your chance to catch monsters. Your fishing fishing difficulty will be multiplied by each monsters individual base chance.
